This item is in stock and will ship within 2-3 business days.

The Promenade is an ortholinear keyboard that uses 1.5u Ergodoxian modifier keys. It is designed to fit in many 60% cases. This is an independent remake of the Boardwalk PCB with some additional features.

The hotswap version can be found here:
Promenade HS PCB
FR4 plates can be found here:

There are 2 variations to choose from: A board with a USB-C port, and one without. Both versions have a JST connector, and both have the same board outline.

PCB Features

  • Powered by QMK, VIA compatible
  • RP2040
  • 32M-bit of flash memory (W25Q32JV)
  • ESD Over-Current Protection (SRV05 + Fuse)
  • Edge cuts for o-ring boards like the Bakeneko*
  • RGB Underglow
  • Mill-Max socket compatible
  • PCB (and FR4 plate) thickness/color: 1.6mm/Black
  • JST connector for daughterboards**
  • Rotary Encoder support
*The edge cuts are designed to fit many common gummy o-ring 60% boards like the Bakeneko (both Cannonkeys version and Bakeneko V3/Ciel. It will not fit the Kei V1, and it will not fit the dn60 without Dremeling away the 6u stabilizer holes. Because the switches in the corners are a bit farther from the sides of the board, the friction fit of the gummy o-ring may not be as tight as a normal PCB. There are M2 standoff holes in the corners to expand the o-ring if desired
**Tested and working on C3&C4 Unified daughterboard. JST cable and daughterboard are NOT included.

Layouts

Layout Options (KLE) ⌨
There are 3 main layouts:
  • The 65% layout that uses 6.25u spacebar and has arrows on the right like a 65% board;
  • The Split Hand with modifiers aligned to the far columns of the board and either 1u or 1.5u center columns, and;
  • The 50XT, a 50% Preonic-like layout with two extra columns on the right side.
Click to Show 3 Main Layouts Main LayoutsThe Promenade is not limited to these layouts only. There are many variations within each layout and they can be mixed and matched. These are merely meant to show the most common layouts. 2u, 3u, 6u, 6.25u, 7u Spacebars are supported.

Warning! Clip in stabilizers will only work on 7u and 6u spacebars. 3u and 2u stabilizer holes slightly overlap, making it impossible for them to be secured properly. Screw in stabs are therefore recommended.

Case Compatibility

It is impossible for me to compile a list of every possible 60% case that might work, and I cannot guarantee fit for cases that I have not built in. Some cases might work, but may require extensive modification to either the case or the PCB. In general, the Promande should work in most gh60 compatible 60% cases that are either tray mount or have top mount-style plates. This PCB is also designed to work in gummy o-ring style cases like the Bakeneko. Most cases will require a custom plate. Some (most tray mounts and gummy o-ring cases) can use a simple drop in plate like the ones I sell on this site.

I have personally built Promenades in:
  • Geon Frog Mini (Custom plate)
  • TinyNeko
  • HMKB 60% (BW)
  • Ryloo Studio "Hello" M0110 (Custom plate)
  • BBox60 (Required heavy case modification)
  • Mekanisk Fjell and Klippe T
  • KBDFans Acrylic 5 Degree (Required some case modifications)
  • dn60 (Required extensive pcb modifications and limited the number of usable layouts)
Others have built Promenades (or Boardwalks) in:
  • Tofu60
  • Tofu60 v2 (Custom plate
  • KBDFans Holy 60
  • Saturn 60 (Boardwalk plates offered at GB)
  • Bakeneko60
  • gh60
  • Salvation
The Promenade PCB will NOT work in:
  • QK60
  • Monokei Kei V1
